Synthetic ropes have different qualities according to the raw materials used in their production. Synthetic ropes are produced and supplied in three qualities: first grade rope, second grade rope, and one and a half grade rope. In this article, we are going to examine one and a half grade rope.
What is plastic rope?
Plastic rope is a kind of rope produced from polymer raw materials. These ropes are usually made of polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) or polyester (PET). They are used for various applications such as packaging, marine industries, agriculture, mountaineering, transportation industries, and many more. These ropes are usually flexible, light, water and corrosion resistant and durable. These ropes are graded based on the quality of raw materials, which we will examine each one of.
First class rope
First grade rope refers to ropes that are made of high quality materials and have special characteristics such as high resistance, flexibility, appropriate thickness, and long life. These ropes are commonly used for applications such as mountaineering, shipping, industrial packaging and These ropes are produced from first-class polymer raw materials, i.e. new petrochemical materials.
Second grade rope
Second-grade rope refers to ropes that are produced from recycled polymer raw materials with medium quality and medium standard. These ropes are made from recycled granules of polypropylene, polyester, polyethylene, etc. Their quality and features are slightly lower than first-class ropes. Generally, second grade ropes are used for applications such as home use, medium work and general applications.
